“After the laminate fell off another cabinet in my kitchen, I could no longer put off a full remodel. I was absolutely overwhelmed with work, though, and don't know the difference between a socket wrench & a crescent wrench (maybe they're the same - I have no clue.) It's a lot of money to risk, though, so I didn't want to mess it up.
Chris & Lindsay were referred to me by a friend who had used Bolter Builders for her bathroom. They were AMAZING. After talking to Lindsay a few times, it became clear that design was more complicated than picking tile. Lindsay got a really good sense of my aesthetics, the look & feel I wanted, and what was important to me. She took it from there, sending me mock-ups and narrowing down the number of options based on my budget & preferences. Instead of looking at 7,000 faucets, I only had to look at 5-7, for example, and pick one. She even made the document clickable to the appropriate e-commerce site so all I had to do was click on the link & put in my credit card. I didn't have to waste mental space on what shade of gray the grout should be - and for that I am infinitely grateful.
Then the construction started. Not only did they finish on time, but they made it SO EASY. Picking up after themselves every day, vacuuming...my house was cleaner while I had major construction going on than it is on a day to day basis. Even my cats were comfortable with them & got daily head scratches. And even better - everything with the build was perfect. I've seen wonky kitchens where corners aren't absolutely perfect or things aren't perfectly aligned and the exact shade of white varies from surface to surface...I can be a bit OCD about these things when I'm looking at a finished product. But the Bolter Builders team is as OCD as I am, apparently, because my kitchen is PERFECT. Even 6 months later, I still haven't found any flaws.
And it was pretty painless, which is the most amazing part. My friends who have done remodeling all have horror stories it seems. Maybe it's because they tried to cut corners or something? Bolter Builders prices weren't the most expensive quote, but they also weren't cheap. They were fair & reasonable...which I'm fine with. You get what you pay for.

Lindsay is a lifesaver. I was really struggling to pick out finishes. She came over to see the space and take some quick measurements. She looked at my Pinterest pages and immediately got what I was hoping for. She put together a PowerPoint with different looks for our kitchen, bathrooms and mud room so I could see how it all looked together. She was able to meld together what my husband wanted and what I wanted. Lindsay had a nice mix of lower priced and higher priced finishes. She gave us a lot of guidance on where to go and what to look at. She is so responsive to emails and texts. We are so incredibly happy with our remodel and get compliments on our finishes. I don’t think I could have done it without Lindsay. She is worth EVERY penny!
